Little Registry Optimizer is a nice tool created by Little Apps Project. They are known for making registry tools, and this one is not an exception. Little Registry Optimizer is really "little" - the application requires only one interface and one set of configuration options.
The task this application performs is really simple - it measures your registry and then, if needed, compresses it in order to make it run faster and more efficiently. You can select where you want to save a backup of the registry, in case you want to set a restore point every time you perform a registry analysis. These are all the choices you can make. It would be nice if you could choose between different compression ratios, and also which sections of the registry you want to have compressed and which not. In any case, you just have to click on the “Analyze” button and then “Start optimization”, which will effectively compress your registry.
The results might not be noticeable for those with a small registry, but users of larger registries will certainly benefit from this little utility, which, by the way, is completely free. A definite must-have for registry maintenance.
